For this project, we were contacted by Cryptic to create an animation for his upcoming gospel artist, Kedani. At Pixvalue, we had a lot of creative freedom — the brief was simply to come up with visuals for the song, and we all jumped right in.

Surprisingly, the most challenging shot was also the one that looked the simplest: the chorus with the pink-toned characters. The client wanted a group of characters singing together, but finding the right balance between simplicity and charm took us deep into our creative toolkit.

To bring the chorus crowd to life, we designed an adorable character style and then wrote a custom script connected to the MASH network. Once the crowd was generated, our script automatically overlaid facial expressions and lip-syncing onto each character. This gave the sequence a lively, organic feel without losing efficiency.
